Cybersecurity and Telehealth 101

This webinar will cover essential security and best practices for protecting sensitive information in a healthcare setting, including password management and proper security hygiene, the importance of logging out of systems, and maintaining security during telehealth sessions. We will review best practices for using Zoom, such as verifying patient identity, securely sharing links and personal IDs, and utilizing features like waiting rooms, as well as discuss the use of VPNs, how to recognize and prevent phishing and hacking attempts, and an overview of relevant federal policies. The session will also address effective and secure methods for communicating with patients, considerations around, and printer security best practices.

Wyoming Telehealth Consortium

The Wyoming Telehealth Consortium is a legislatively mandated activity. It is the central meeting space to discuss the progress of telehealth in the state and is available to the public and all telehealth stakeholders in Wyoming. The Consortium currently meets quarterly on the last Tuesday of that month, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. WTC exists to enhance collaboration and alignment between organizations, key stakeholders, and consumers to promote telehealth initiatives in order to improve equity in and access to health services in Wyoming.
