About the Consortium

The Wyoming Telehealth Consortium is a legislatively mandated activity. It is the central meeting space to discuss the progress of telehealth in the state, and is available to the public and all telehealth stakeholders in Wyoming.  The Consortium currently meets on the last Tuesday of every month, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. To join the call, please email wytn@uwyo.edu for an invite.

History

In 2009, the Wyoming Legislature mandated the creation of the Wyoming Telehealth Consortium for the purpose of developing and promoting standards for telemedicine and telehealth networks. Since then, the need for telehealth services in the state has grown exponentially. The Wyoming Telehealth Consortium continues to build goals to address the needs of the growing telehealth community of practice.

How to Get Involved

Consumers, stakeholders, groups and individuals who are focused on providing access to care through telehealth as well as health care advocates in the nonprofit sector are invited to join us. The Consortium meets monthly, on the last Tuesday of the month from 3:00-4:00 pm. To RSVP for a meeting, please email us at wytn@uwyo.edu.

Wyoming State Broadband Program

The Wyoming Business Council’s broadband program was built to ensure every citizen and business has access to affordable, reliable, redundant and future-proof broadband.

Their infrastructure grant, advisory council and program manager was enabled by the 2018 Wyoming Legislature.

Since then, they continue to pursue ways to make Wyoming a national leader in mapping and addressing rural broadband needs.

They encourage you to participate in a MAPPING/SPEED TEST and welcome you to review this site to learn more or send feedback to their State Coordinator or members of their advisory council to hear what communities like yours are doing to bring better broadband to homes and businesses in rural areas throughout Wyoming.
